Crumbed Prawns

  • 250 g prawns
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg beaten
  • salt
  • pepper


  • Each in their own bowls line up flour, egg and bread crumbs in this order add salt and pepper to the bread crumbs.
  • Remove the prawns head, shell and vein the prawns but keep the tail on, this makes it easier to dip them.
  • Coat the prawn lightly in flour, then dip in egg letting the excess drip off, roll in bread crumbs.
  • Once all the prawns are coated, fry them in hot oil for 1 minute. Place on the paper towel to rid them of any excess oil.
